Castillo De Molina Pinot Noir 2007 Reserva

Variety: 100% Pinot Noir

Origin: This wine is obtained from Pinot Noir grapes from central Valley - approximately half from the Curico Valley and Coastal Maipo Valley. The vineyards are planted on gentle hills, vertically trellised and drip irrigated.

Harvest: The grapes are hand harvested during last week of March and the first week of April. The vineyard yield were 8 tons per hectare.

Vinification: Following 3 days cold soak, alcoholic fermentation took place with selected yeats at contolled temparatus of 25-27'C with 4 short pumpovers per day. Total maceration was 15 days and 100% of final blend was aged for 10 months in French oak barrel, 30% new.

Colour: Light but brilliant ruby red

Aroma: Present aromas of red fruit such berries, Cherries, and plums, which well balanced with toasted note from oak aging.

Palate: Fresh and fruity, with delicate, soft, and harmonious tannins, with a long finish. Drink now or hold 3-4 years

Alcohol: 13.8%

My drinking note: Light bodied, fruit aroma, medium acidity and finish short. Price below Rm60, a glass mark out of five for it.
