J.P.CHENET CABERNET SYRAH Vin de Pays d’Oc
Grape variety: 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Syrah
Geography: The Vin de Pays d'Oc region is located in Languedoc-Roussillon in the south of France.
Soil: The types of soil vary considerably across the Vins de Pays d'Oc vine-growing region and include sand, clay-limestone and schist.
Wine-making: Grapes harvested at peak ripeness, destalked and trodden before being fermented for 6-12 days at controlled temperatures (around 30°C) and gently pressed.
Service: This wine is best served at a temperature between 16 and 18°C.
Food matching: This wine can accompany a wide variety of dishes including red meats, cold cuts, salads and most cheeses.
My taste note: Light bodied, friut aroma with acidity level and tannic. A Vin de Pays d'Oc below RM40, mark one and half glasses out of five.
